Will Windows Vista run smoothly on AMD processor and motherboard?

Lahm212 asked:

To save cost I am planning to buy AMD processor+motherboard. But I don’t want to face any problems while running Vista Home Premium.

There’s no problems… Why would there be?
    It’s the same as Intel.

No problem at all. I run 3 AMD machines and they all are fantastic. Just make sure that if you are running Vista that you have enough RAM. You need 2 GB minimum.

Yes, Vista it will run on an AMD processor and board.

Since Microsoft has had a falling out with Intel, the entire Vista package was designed and developed on the AMD Platform.

I found this out last year when I went to the Microsoft/AMD Power Tour in Philadelphia, PA.

Yes, it will run fine. Make sure you get a x2 or a Phenom. Also make sure you buy at least 2 gigs of ram if not 4.
