I bought an AMD Athlon 64 FX processor and a ASUS M2N-SLI Mobo?

Linux…
Mine doesn’t have anything sticking out from the bottom…it’s just a flat surface with little gold circles….is there something on the bottom that I have to peel?
Anyone know a good desktop distribution of linux compatible with an AMD processor?
