what are you going to use your laptop for?

for office/browsing/spreadsheet/regular things, any will do just fine without any significant differences.

however if you&#039;re doing graphics/video processing, I would say that Intel Core Duo architecture have the edge at this moment. It&#039;s more powerful and more battery efficient (more power per watts), and more heat efficient than an AMD.</description>

Both Intel and AMD are good products - take your pick. I have owned AMD for many years (last Intel I bought was a 386) but at work I use an Intel.

Go with what you can afford...save in one area to upgrade in another.
