I want an iBook G4. My only concern is right now im operating on an HP Pavillion dv6000 laptop with a AMD Turion64×2 processor. I want to know if id be downgrading.
Hi there. Almost certainly it will be a downgrade.
The Turion 64 X2 has two cores in its processor whereas the G4 only has a single core. This means that for many tasks, the Turion performs twice as fast.
The iBook G4 is a very old computer, so you probably intend to buy it second-hand. Why? I would be wary of buying a second-hand laptop, they could have been abused.
The current Mac low-end laptop is the MacBook. Although it is the cheapest Mac laptop, it has a Core 2 Duo processor that is faster than your current HP Pavilion. And you can choose between Windows and Mac OS X.
