I am looking at a couple mother boards that have a message about processor limitation, but its not very clear. The boards are the asus crosshair formula II and the asus m3n ht/deluxe.
Processor limitations means the speed and type of “CPU” the board will take,..memory is listed differently and should be stated the type (DDR, DDR2, ETC.) it takes,..along with speed (PC-3200, PC2-6400, PC2-8500). It will also state if it supports Single-Channel in these speeds and/or Dual-Channel.
To clarify the other guys answer, PC2-8500 is DDR2 1066, you should be good, assuming your Motherboard supports it (if it supports Phenom, I would assume your safe)
