Ive been looking around the internet and talking to people and I still dont know which is the better processor. For me the price does not matter, since they both are pretty much the same (in price), but I still would like to know which processor preforms better. The AMD war vs. the Intel war has really made the answer cloudy for me since the data across the board is different for many websites that show the benchmarks of each processor. Interestingly the AMD x2 6000 shows up preformance wise right behind theCore2duo E6750. But what about the 6400, I have trouble finding the preformance of the processor as compared to the Core2duo E6750. I just bought the Core2duo E6750, did I make the right decision or would it of been better to buy the AMD atholon x2 6400? note: I have only ordered the processor, havent recieved it yet.

Btw, I am pretty computer illiterate haha. Now, Half-Life 2 runs fine at medium settings except for when there’s tons of smoke in the game. I recently bought Half-Life 2: Episode One but my computer has the hardest time running it, its practically unplayable with all the lag. I was wondering how much it would cost to upgrade my processor to the recommended 2.4GHz that the game recommends?
