    yes as a matter of fact, newer processors are built for maximum compatibility. go for a phenom II coming out this month

    not on the same motherboard. intel and amd use different chipsets and whatnot.
    so
    if you want to get an amd processor u gotta buy a new mobo.

    no! each motherboard takes either one or the other. also, you have to have the right pin set for each type, as well as which level of pentium or amd… if you don’t know this, then you should really let a professional replace it for you.

    Nope, You can only use an Intel processor on a motherboard that supports intel chip sets… Sorry man…
