The Intel Dual-Core has two processing cores instead of one, which basically means that there are two processors in one. The Turion64 is only one core but has a 64bit architecture.
If would go for the Intel Dual-Core.
I personally don’t feel that equal processors are a big factor. Read that article and look at the comparisons and figure out which has the other features (video card, memory, etc.) that you are looking for.
hello. I have Athlon64 processor in my desktop PC. Main difference between Intel Dual Core (I suppose that you mean Core2Duo) and Turion 64 is in technology. C2D is MORE powerful and better developed than amd. But AMD is cheaper. I bought Athlon64 because I don“t have enough money for C2D. If I had enough, I would buy C2D only. I recommend you to go with Toshiba (or HP:)?) with Intel processor. Acer in not good brand for the notebook. Thats my opinion. Have a nice day!
Depends whether the AMD is the dual core Turion64 x2 and the Intel (with 2 CPUs) is Core Duo (2 x Pentium M), Core 2 Duo (latest) or Pentium D (2 x Pentium 4). Then there is a question of RAM size, disk capacity and which graphics system.
