About the speed of a Intel P4 3.5GHz cpu.

  • blackstar6:

The 3500+ represents the speed of the processor. It means it’s the equivalent to 3.5GHz (measurements of GHz is what Intel uses for their chips).

  • Node1499:

It means you have a good processor.
The Athlon 64 will run both 32 and 64 bit operating systems and programs. Better for graphics then Intel.
AMD always seems to underate their processors, so you are more than likely running at approx. 3.8ghz.
My only complaint would be the little fan they attach to them. Athlon processors run hotter than Intel, so do yourself a favour and look into changing the CPU cooler fan if you run the machine all the time.

I don’t know has been handing out the thumbs on this question but they have no clue what they are talking about. Intel didn’t just make up Ghz, Ghz is a unit of measurement that is applied to every processor in all of creation. As the first answerer said, the 3500+ means it does the same amount of work as a 3.5Ghz Intel does, even though its Ghz speed is actually lower.

As per my Experience its represents a model of AMD athlon Processors

  • yamaha:

    3500 is 3.5 GHZ
Ghz is a term for Frequency at which teh PRocessor Runs. !
